Digital marketing and communications agency Big Group has acquired B2B technology marcoms company Twist Media, as it looks to realise its expansion ambitions.

The deal, which will see Twist Media’s 14 staff and clients including BT, Motorola, Cisco and Tata brought over to Big, was signed on the 12 November between Big Group and Felix Lejac, founder and owner of Twist Media.

The two companies have been in discussion for the past six months, with the brokering of the deal carried out over the past two months. Twist Media will continue to be headed up by Lejac, and will form a division of Big Group. No changes to the board are planned.

Commenting on the tie up, Big Group CEO, Nick Scott said: “Twist Media is an ideal addition to Big Group’s collective expertise. They constantly challenge themselves to create marketing and presentation focused solutions that not only impress, but break new ground in terms of their technical excellence.”

Combined clients will include Universal Music Group, Hyundai, BT, MasterCard, Villeroy & Boch, Equinix, Samsung, Duchamp, Zalando, Winsor & Newton, Audi, Warner Leisure and PZ Cussons.

The value of the acquisition was not disclosed but the majority of the sum was paid in cash.
