Sony has launched a pre-Christmas awareness campaign for its waterproof Xperia Z3 smartphone by commissioning the Ebeling Group and DigitasLBI to commission three new short films showcasing real-life stories of individuals using the device.

‘Stories of Greatness’ forms part of the Japanese electronics giants ‘Demand Great’ campaign, highlighting the key features of the handset and has already racked up 235,000 combined YouTube views.

One of these, ‘Boardshare’, depicts a wakeboarder bringing his injured friend back in on the action by live streaming his run using his Z3. In another, ‘Playback’, an audio archivist discovers a tape in his father’s belongings which he duly records digitally before handing to the original artist.

The final film, ‘Peek’, shows the developer of eye health app Peek Vision which allows diagnosis of eye complaints without the need for an ophthalmologist or expensive equipment.
