The Cambridge Satchel Company is to open to pop-up stores in Scotland ahead of Christmas following the launch of its Covent Garden flagship store earlier this month.

The launch is being handled by Hartman Media with a social campaign kicking off this week to encourage people to use the hashtag #CSCInside to see images of the pop-ups.

The stores, located in Edinburgh and Glasgow, are the first for the brand in Scotland, with its two other stores located in London and Cambridge.

Founder and chief executive, Julie Deane, said the brand has built a strong following north of the border.

“It’s time we establish a bricks and mortar retail presence in Scotland as we have so many Scottish customers. The stores in Edinburgh and Glasgow will allow us to show off our wonderful new collection of stylish bags – in addition to our classic satchels - all made in Great Britain. E-commerce is important but it’s hard to get that amazing leather smell online,” she added.

The Edinburgh store – located on George Street – will open on 8 November while the larger, two-storey, Glasgow store will open on the 15 November.

Both will be open seven days a week, and stock the company’s best-selling core collections, new men’s collections, as well as exclusive in-store collections and a selection of the new Pre-Spring ’15 Collection.
