Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare has launched a trailer putting viewers in the boots of a high-tech soldier in an explosive sequence directed by Peter Berg.

The ad, commissioned 72andSunny, was shot from a first-person perspective, featuring Taylor Kitsch who shows viewers the changed landscape of war in the year 2059.

Led by Kitsch, the ad takes viewers through the violent world created by Sledgehammer Games. It uses heavy CG effects, carefully rigged pyrotechnics and extreme choreographed stunts.

Berg, who directed Friday Night Lights, has collaborated with the Call of Duty franchise before, shooting a trailer for Modern Warfare 3 starring Jonah Hill and Sam Worthington.

A previous Call of Duty: Advanced War trailer, featuring the acting talents of Kevin Spacey, was released earlier this year.
