Jura, owned by whisky firm Whyte & Mackay, has announced the appointment of BD Network as its retained creative lead agency.

The moves will see BD Network create brand campaigns that will be implemented in multi-channel for the UK and European markets.

Said Bob Dalrymple, global marketing controller at Whyte & Mackay: “We’re delighted to appoint BD Network to work with us driving the Jura brand forward at what is an exciting time. BD Network clearly showed not only an understanding of the brand but a deep rooted grasp of the category which is key to us delivering against our brand ambitions over the coming years.”

Jura is looking to actively seek out new whisky drinkers, driving trial and awareness of the brand and making Jura the whisky of choice in the single malt category.

Dan Claxton, creative director at BD Network, said: “To be appointed as lead agency signals a great opportunity for BD Network to work as true partners to the Jura brand. The spirits market has always been core to BD’s specialisms and we’re proud to work with Jura taking them to the next level. At the heart of this delivery is a truly creative proposition that we believe has a connection with Jura’s target market and aspirational audience.”

The appointment comes as a new Jura brand platform is set to launch in 2015.
