The Radio Advertising Bureau has appointed JWT’s communications director, Lucy Barrett as its client director.

Lucy Barrett

Barrett, who will take up the position from January next year, will work alongside the organisation’s planning director, Mark Barber, to enhance advertising, agency and radio group relationships.

Siobhan Kenny, chief executive of parent organisation, RadioCentre, commented: “Lucy brings the experience and understanding of advertising that we need in promoting radio’s particular value and advantage to potential clients. She will add serious strength to the RAB team and we look forward to welcoming her.”

Barrett added: “I was happy at JWT and very proud of what I have achieved here, but this opportunity turned my head. The medium is moving in a very exciting direction and this gives me the opportunity both to promote and explore the potent combination of advertising and radio.”

She will leave after almost five years at JWT, where Barratt was a member of the senior team in London, as well having sat on the agency’s Global Communication Council.
