Lager brand Skol has launched a unique ad literally shot in an underwater nightclub to celebrate the release of the blue Skol Beats Senses beer.

The ad called ‘Underwater’ was developed by F/Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi for release in Brazil. It invites consumers to try the firm’s new mysterious blue beer - which is allegedly nonsensical as the video itself.

The surreal nightclub scene was shot entirely underwater with the DJ and dancers fed oxygen by out-of-sight divers with specialised breathing apparatus. As a result, the dancers have a unearthly ease of movement.

The video runs with the tagline 'Blue on the outside. Mysterious inside' referring to the newly released blue Skol beer, the ingredients of which, Skol is yet to share. It features the soundtrack ‘Baby Baby’, created by duo Tropkillaz, for the 60 and 30 second commercials.

Underwater has aired across Brazil on broadcast and cable TV, supported by digital media initiatives and promotions.
