MailOnline has appointed Clare Rush to serve as its deputy chief revenue officer, reporting directly to chief revenue officer Melanie Scott, where she will be responsible for growing UK revenues and nurturing client relationships and partnerships with the websites commercial team.

Rush joins MailOnline from MEC where she was responsible for driving the commercial delivery for clients and the agency for investment, most recently overseeing the integration of its print and digital teams to form a new paid display department.

Rush said: “I am delighted to be joining an organisation that has proved itself to be a leader in both the print and digital arena. The strategic vision for the MailOnline is both inspiring and challenging and represents a great opportunity to work closely with Mel Scott and Martin Clarke who have already created a formidable business.”

Scott added: “Clare’s arrival at such an exciting time at MailOnline will be key to driving the next phase of our growth. Having worked with her for a number of years I have witnessed Clare’s innate talent to develop relationships first hand, which combined with her knowledge of the industry will be a great asset to help spearhead our ambitions. With an ever-expanding sales force, Clare’s people skills and management style will ensure our team continue to be market leaders in the digital advertising space.”
