Hungryhouse.co.uk has announced a sponsorship deal with Vice’s food channel Munchies which sees the online food ordering platform supporting a series of short films.

The sponsorship follows research carried out by hungryhouse.co.uk that indicated a perceived lack of quality, informative content specifically focused on northern cities.

The deal sees hungryhouse.co.uk backing 'The Munchies Guide to the North of England', part of the existing Munchies ‘Guide To’ franchise, which comprises of five 15-minute episodes fronted by Leeds-born Munchies correspondent Ben Ferguson.

The Munchies Guide to the North of England sees Ferguson travel across Liverpool, Blackpool, Leeds, Sheffield and Manchester speaking to local characters and young chefs instrumental in shaping the Northern food scene.

Alice Mrongovious, hungryhouse.co.uk marketing director, said: “This series highlights the huge variety of great food on offer in the North of England and is an engaging insight into a culinary world that young people in the North will relate to and enjoy.”

The Munchies Guide to the North of England also features insight into northern nightlife through the eyes of food-loving DJ’s Ben Pearce and Mark Wells. The Munchies Guide to the North of England will air on Munchies.tv and on the Munchies YouTube channel.

The new series follows the first Munchies ‘Guide To’ which focused on Scotland.
