AB InBev hands $575m US media account to MediaCom

AB InBev has appointed MediaCom to its US media planning and buying account, believed to be worth $575m (£360.9m).

Now set to handle the media for AB InBev brands such as Budweiser, Bud Light and Stella Artois, the account was won following a four way pitch.

The pitch process was handled by ID Comms, based in London, and saw MediaCom beat incumbent Starcom MediaVest Group for the account.

Currently holding reviews in other regions, AB InBev has also consolidated its European media business covering nine key markets, with Dentsu Aegis holding the account.
