Online auction site eBay has launched its first global campaign, “Shop the World”, ahead of the key Christmas shopping period.

Beginning on 13 October, the campaign was created with Goodby Silverstein & Partners, and will cover markets such as US, Australia, UK and Germany.

Richelle Parham, chief marketing officer for eBay North America, said the campaign looks to show “how the moments of inspiration that surround us every day can me instantly shoppable on eBay”.

Earlier this year, eBay stated that Christmas shopping began in August on the website.
