Weber Shandwick has promoted Ben Burton to head of corporate in its London office.

Having been at the PR agency for over two years, Burton will now be responsible for overseeing the agency’s corporate practice in London, reporting to Mary Whenman, managing director of corporate, financial and public affairs.

Of the appointment, Whenman said: “I am absolutely delighted to announce Ben’s promotion to head of corporate. Ben has worked on two campaigns, Sochi 2014 and The Shard #iceclimb which have won four awards.

"I am excited at what 2015 will hold for our team as we continue to provide corporate communications counsel to both global organisations and British-based firms.”

Prior to moving into PR, Burton had a career in broadcast journalism, working for both the BBC and ITV.
