The BFI London Film Festival is set to be promoted through the Digital Cinema Media (DCM) app, Cinime.

Those who use the app will receive a notification alerting them that new content will be made available during this year’s BFI London Film Festival, which runs from 8 to 19 October.

Nyree Jillings, festivals marketing manager at the BFI, stated: “We always strive to introduce new experiences for attendees at our events and we’re excited to be using innovative technology to further reach and engage more audiences via DCM’s Cinime app at this year’s BFI London Film Festival.”

Originally created by DCM and Yummi to entertain and engage people before and after the movies, as part of promotion for the BFI film festival, users will unlock two goodies for a new film, such as the trailer and a synopsis of the film, as well as an exclusive red carpet video, every day.

Joe Evea, commercial director at Digital Cinema Media, said: “The BFI London Film Festival is the UK’s premier film gala and we’re thrilled to be involved in facilitating further interaction to the festival experience through our Cinime app.”

All unlocked goodies received by Cinime app users will be sharable on social media and all of the content will then be saved in one BFI London Film Festival Goodie bag in the app at the end of the event.
