Title sponsor sought for 2015 Glasgow Comedy Festival

The Glasgow International Comedy Festival has instigated a search for a new title sponsor for 2015 following conclusion of a sponsorship package with cider brand Magners.

Dubbed Europe’s biggest comedy festival last year’s event drew 80,000 people over March and April attracted by star comedians such as Jimmy Carr, Al Murray and Dylan Moran.

Sponsors are invited to rename the event as well as apply their branding to all marketing activity through media partnerships and coverage, delivering an estimated £4m of publicity.

Tommy Sheppard, Director of The Scottish Comedy Agency said "For the right brand, this is a great opportunity to creatively own one of the UK's top events. Tennent's do it with 'T In The Park', and we're keen to find a partner who can do something creative and powerful with their name - it's not just a straight sponsorship deal, it goes way beyond that."
