South Korean smartphone manufacturer Samsung has sought to brush off concerns surrounding the build quality of its Galaxy Note 4 device by stating that a gap between the bezel and screen is to be ‘expected’.

Videos have emerged of users inserting business cards into the space on their devices but Samsung is adamant that this is not a design flaw and its presence ‘does not impact the functionality or quality of the Galaxy Note 4.’

Images circulating on social media show owners inserting cards into the slender crevice although Samsung insist this is a ‘necessary manufacturing feature’ in official documentation.

The company does warn however that, over time, friction between parts may ‘cause this gap to expand slightly’.

The Galaxy Note 4 is not yet available to purchase in the UK.
