Boutique, a Leeds-based media communications agency, has appointed Sarah Gough as ‘head of earned media’ to lead the creation of a new public relations function within the company.

Gough joins from PR agency Lucre and brings experience of traditional and social PR campaigns for clients ranging from regional tourism hotspots Harewood House and Yorkshire Air Museum to national brands such as Hallmark and Revolution bars.

Gough said: “With client acquisition at an all-time high, and with aspirations to become the UK’s biggest independent media agency outside of London by 2017, Boutique has decided to develop an earned media offering to enable fully integrated strategies for clients.”

Simon Bollon, managing director of Boutique, said: ‘We’re really excited to be expanding our team in order to support growth in various areas of the business, particularly our new PR component which is the latest enhancement to our service offering.”

Recent additions to the team have seen Boutique’s numbers grow to a total of thirteen, representing a threefold increase in staff in eighteen months for the agency.
