JDO to launch Singapore office with former Heineken brand development and design manager at the helm

JDO Brand Design and Innovation has announced that it is to open an office in Singapore.

JDO Asia will act as a hub for the creative agency giving it a local presence as well as putting feet on the ground in Asia.

“We’ve been watching our business in Asia Pacific and specifically in Singapore for some time and feel that now is the right time to launch,” explained Tim Jebb, JDO founder and principal.

Tasked with heading up the office is former brand development and design manager at Heineken Asia Pacific, Tim Begent, who had previously been JDO’s client on the Tiger beer brand.

Of the appointment Jebb said: “Tim brings a great deal of local knowledge having lived and worked in the region and in our industry for the past 15 years.”

Jebb described the office opening as an “important step change in JDO’s development and it will reinforce and accelerate growth of our business in the Asia Pacific region and beyond”.

Begent commented: “As a client, I loved working with JDO. Their work is world class and they’re a great group of people. This new venture sees the next stage in our working relationship and I’m excited to be joining with the opportunity to build the business in Asia Pacific.”

The Singapore office will officially commence trading tomorrow (Wednesday 1 October).
