Donald Trump stumped in Fred and Rose West ‘inspiration’ tweet
US tycoon Donald Trump was left looking like a fool after he obliviously retweeted an image of Fred and Rose West which claimed the couple were inspired by the billionaire.
The image, first tweeted to Trump by a sneaky troll, has already been retweeted over 1,500 times after being retweeted to the account's 2.7m followers on Monday afternoon.
The ‘realDonaldTrump' account has previously saw highly-public spats with president Obama on the site, regarding healthcare and the legitimacy of the president's US birth.
The image of the couple, who murdered 11 women, was first sent to Trump by a man called Philip Bradbury who goes by ‘@feckhead’ on the site.
The self-professed ‘failed comedian’ currently has a mere 500 followers.
The offending tweet has been removed although a picture can be seen to the right and the text remains below.
"@feckhead: My parents who passed away always said you were big inspiration. Can you pls RT for their memory? pic.twitter.com/o2BOGnYhaN" — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 29, 2014
After the gaffe, Twitter users mocked the eccentric Trump - although no one seemed to let him in on the joke.
@realDonaldTrump @feckhead They seem like lovely, kind caring parents, don't you think Donald? — Dom Joly (@domjoly) September 29, 2014

Out-spoken Trump used the site in 2012 to call for a second US revolution following the democratic re-election of president Obama.
