The first day of Advertising Week New York will see a selection of household names take to the stage to offer their differing views of the marketing ecosystem. Here is a run down of what you can catch on Monday 29 September at the festival either in person, or by watching the live streams here on The Drum.

9am: Winning: Sir Martin Sorrell, Times Centre Stage

WPP chief executive Sir Martin Sorrell speaks to a panel of senior media and marketing figures about the competitive landscape that each of them operates within. The panel includes; Eric Johnson EVP, Global Multimedia Sales, ESPN

Jim Lanzone president and CEO, CBS Interactive, Russell Wallach president, Live Nation Media & Sponsorship, Lisa Utzschneider vice president, Global Advertising Sales, Amazon Media Group.

11am: Rethinking Marketing to Women - Times Centre Stage

Facebook COO and author of Lean In, Sheryl Sandberg is joined by Joanna Coles editor in chief, Cosmopolitan, Jonathan Klein CEO & co-Founder, Getty Images, and Andrew Robertson President & CEO, BBDO Worldwide to discuss how marketing to women has evolved and how women are now portrayed in the media.

12pm: Jamie Oliver: Engaging a Digital Native Generation Liberty Theatre

The celebrity chef, Jamie Oliver takes to the stage alongside some of the world's most successful YouTube content creators to discuss their journeys and the work they have each undertaken on behalf of brands.

2pm: What is Newsworthy? Times Centre Stage

Interpublic Group chief executive, Michael Roth Speaks to some international media figures such as Rebecca Blumenstein deputy editor in Chief, The Wall Street Journal, Pete Cashmore, chief executive & Founder, Mashable, Greg Coleman, the recently appointed president of Buzzfeed and David Pemsel deputy chief executive, The Guardian about how they are driving change within the content business.

3pm Clash of the Titans: When Big Data Met Big Creativity The Adara Stage, Hard Rock Cafe

Campaign editor-in-chief Claire Beale leads a panel discussion with the likes of Sir John Hegarty, founder of BBH, Tham Khai Meng worldwide chief creative officer & chairman, Ogilvy & Mather and Chuck Porter, chairman & co-founder of CP+B to discuss how big data is developing the creative process.

4pm: An Honest Conversation with Jessica Alba and Christopher Gavigan Liberty Theater

Join The Honest Company founders Jessica Alba and Christopher Gavigan at an intimate discussion on the rise of the eco-friendly baby brand and its mission to educate, inspire and create a healthy and sustainable future for the next generation.

4pm: Brands and the Art of Content Creation, Times Centre Stage

Google's president for Americas, Margo Georgiadis, Lucas Herscovici VP Consumer Connections, Anheuser-Busch InBev North America, Amy Pascal director of digital marketing strategy, Johnson & Johnson and Jill Toscano vice president, US Media, for American Express will combine to talk about new marketing methods that are being used to drive consumer engagement and the development of the real-time marketing process.

5pm: The Drum Shockumentary The Adara Stage, Hard Rock Cafe

The Drum will screen its recently produced Shockumentary for the first time in the US, while a panel including Dave Birss editor-at-large, The Drum, Gordon Young editor & co-founder, The Drum, Louisa St Pierre head of integrated media, Bernstein & Andriulli, Richard Kosinski US president, Unruly and Matt Ian executive creative director, TBWAChiatDay New York will talk about effectively using the art of shock within advertising.

The panels will each be live streamed and available to view within The Drum's dedicated Advertising Week New York live stream.
