BBH New York founder, Cindy Gallop is to guest edit a forthcoming edition of The Drum.

Gallop, who was a keynote at The Drum Live in July, has overseen the next issue of The Drum, released on 1 October, as part of the publication’s Advertising Week New York activity and expansion into the US.

The issue will include several features that aim to look towards the future of the marketing services industry, including a focus on how advertising approaches used today will be disrupted by technology and media platforms that are dictating change, a re-evaluation of gold standard creativity and insight on what inspires Gallop to be the important industry figure that she has become.

Game designer Phoenix Perry, Rosie Arnold, Amy Kean, Caprice Yu and Heidi Hackemer are just some of the names who have been keen to contribute to Gallop's issue.

Gordon Young, editor of The Drum, commented: "It is fantastic to have Cindy on board and her choice of themes, ideas and contributors will ensure this is a magazine like nothing we have produced before. A central theme is disruption and in producing this issue it is fair to say The Drum itself has been well and truly disrupted."

This one-off edition of The Drum will also be released in Gallop’s adopted home city of New York midway through Advertising Week where she will also appear on a panel session hosted by The Drum.
