Ford Mustang has enlisted pop artist Burton Morris to redesign the car manufacturer’s famous pony logo with a collection commemorating the brand’s worldwide presence.

The collaboration will see Morris sculpt and hand paint 10 Mustang pony emblems, emblazoned with the flag of 10 countries as part of the #mustangunites campaign.

Each piece in the collection will feature the flag of each major nation where the Mustang is sold including the United States, Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom.

The campaign was launched to celebrate the firm’s 50-year history, with the Mustang now available globally to customers in over 120 countries – with the addition of new right-hand drive models.

Morris said: “As Ford Mustang celebrates 50 years, it has become a symbol of pop culture with the pony being one of the most recognisable icons worldwide.

“I am thrilled to have my paintings be a part of Mustang Unites and celebrate Mustang around the world.”
