Specsavers and Penguin team up in 'choose the plot' promotion

Penguin books and Specsavers have launched a campaign to ask crime thriller readers to decide the plot of a new Novella.

The partnership will include a dedicated website and Facebook page to invite readers to join in deciding the narrative direction of the story, which is being produced in conjunction with three authors: Christopher Fowler, James Oswald and Jane Casey

Dame Mary Perkins, founder of Specsavers said: “There is an intrinsic link between reading, watching crime thrillers and eye sight.”

Penguin digital marketing manager, Lynsey Dalladay,said: ‘We’re delighted that Dead Good can work with Specsavers on creating an innovative and exciting novella. The three authors are extremely talented and looking forward to the challenge of shaping a book with the readers in the driving seat.”

The event, called #ChooseThePlot was created and project managed by Manning Gottlieb OMD and begins on 23 September.
