Bristol European Green Capital 2015 has appointed communications agency 375 to handle its branding work following a competitive pitch.

The agency has been asked to define the brand strategically and creatively, then develop a robust framework for its deployment across multiple channels.

Kris Donaldson, director of Bristol’s European Green Capital events, said: “It’s about attracting investment and tourism to the city and setting it up as an exemplar for high growth green economies.

"The brand framework that we’ve created will play a vital role in winning the hearts and minds of our broad spectrum of stakeholders. We appointed 375 because the team challenged and stretched the brief as well as showing a deep understanding of sustainability communications.”

The European Green Capital Award is the result of an initiative undertaken by a group of European cities in 2006.

More information about the Bristol 2015 programme, and the new brand, will be revealed by in the coming weeks as the city counts down to officially taking on the European Green Capital title for 2015.
