Communications consultancy Carnegie Orr has relaunched under the name Gather as it looks to reposition itself as an ideas-driven, strategic communications business.

The consultancy has identified market demand for organisations to have more clarity and control of their messaging through a single idea that break down traditional silos and work across all media channels.

With a mission to develop "ideas people gather around", Gather will use insight gained from research and will use this as a key strand of the company’s strategy and creative implementation for clients.

Nigel Forsyth has joined the agency as its non-executive chairman, bringing experience from his previous roles at Conran Design Group, 35, Fitch and Bamber Forsyth.

Recent wins following the new position include AO World, Game and Amlin.

The consultancy is also developing a new tool allowing businesses to benchmark the performance of their own corporate communications against competitors, and compare results with other sectors.
