The first week of this year's Fittest in Media challenge has drawn to a close and The Drum can reveal that Chris Woods from OMD UK and Marc Whittle from ZenithOptimedia are neck in neck on the scoreboard with 144 points each.

Who's the fittest in media?

The challenge, which accompanies the redesign of Dennis Publishing-owned title Men's Fitness, will aim to find the fittest person working within a media agency in the UK.

The champion will be selected through of a series of trials across various media agencies throughout September, including Maxus, Manning Gottlieb OMD, Carat and Starcom MediaVest.

Over the next few weeks, each contestant will undergo timed tests, where they have to do as many press-ups, sit ups and burpees as they can in a minute each with no rest between moves. The person who achieves the highest number overall across all of the agencies will win.

OMD's Sam Budd currently holds the record for the most burpees completed so far with his tally of 29, and whilst Chris and Marc took the overall lead, there are still six events to go.
