A Samsung Note ad featuring designer Mark Hunter, released on Tuesday (26 August), has been removed from the company’s YouTube account, in mysterious circumstances.

Colourful hipster Hunter's advert was removed after only three days

The teaser ad for the Galaxy Note 4 phablet, called ‘[Ready to Note?](sic) Mark Hunter's Love Note’ was the first of many Love Note videos posted over the last few days, but it is the only one to be removed at the time of writing.

With Hunter, founder of the ‘Cobra Snake’ fashion brand, at the helm, commentators has described it as portraying sexism from the larger-than-life designer, which may have been the reason for the removal, although Samsung has yet to confirm that.

During the ad, Hunter stated: “If my Note was a person, it would be like a super organised secretary, it would be like really sexy... short skirt... you know.”

However, the ad received a condemning review from AppleInsider which reported: "The whimsy is turned up several notches and the characters speak without regard for grammar and without any filter on their sexist or simply ignorant personifications of Samsung's phablet as whimsical graphics are overlaid on them via slick post processing."

It is thought that this may have been the cause of the deletion.

Hunter shared the video through his Twitter account where he said he was “super excited” to be in the ad.

‘[Ready to Note?] Mark Hunter's Love Note, which has been marked private on Samsung Mobile’s YouTube account, is still available to view on video platform Daily Motion thanks to a third party uploader.

It has recently been reported that Samsung is preparing for the launch of its next generation of Galaxy smartphones which will be directly competing with Apple's iPhone 6.
