Bluemarlin names Marcus Hewitt as executive creative director, New York

Bluemarlin has announced that Marcus Hewitt will be joining the brand design consultancy as executive creative director of its New York studio.

Hewitt is tasked with steering the New York office’s creative vision, leading the team and setting the strategic ambition for the company’s future growth in North and South America.

“We are thrilled to welcome such an exciting talent as Marcus to the bluemarlin team,” remarked Ben Cleaver, managing director of the New York Studio. Adding that Hewitt’s “wealth of industry experience and creative acumen will infuse our studio with a new energy.”

Of the appointment, Hewitt commented: “The talent and culture of the bluemarlin group is extremely impressive, and I’m looking forward to getting started and helping them continue to deliver outstanding creative work.”

Prior to joining bluemarlin Hewitt held chief creative officer roles at Product Ventures and Dragon Rouge and co-founded Sterling Brands. He also helped establish the Michael Peters Group in London, New York, Toronto and Los Angeles.

Hewitt’s agency experience has seen him work with global brands including Pepsico, Unilever, Merck and AB Inbev.
