YouTube Music Key, first came to the attention of bloggers after Google snapped up the 'YouTubeMusicKey.com' web domain - this was followed by the leak of screen shots of the service’s alleged web pages.

The music streaming service, first announced by The Drum earlier this year, will compete against lead streaming services Spotify and Deezer and will be ad free for a reported price of $9.99.

According to the leaked images, Google Music Key will offer "over 20 million high-quality tracks - complete albums, organised into artist discographies," starting with a 30-day trial for new users.

The service will host exclusive artist concert footage, remixes and covers, and it is also designed to make listening suggestions for users.

Earlier this summer, YouTube threatened to remove the videos of artists, such as Adele, which did not sign up to its exclusive premium music streaming service.

However, the search engine giant stood down after indie label music body WIN complained that Google was "threatening" and "bullying" artists.
