Disney, IBM, Net-A-Porter and BBC among the 25 companies involved in Social Buzz Awards judging

The full list of 25 judges for the Social Buzz Awards, in association with iomart, is revealed as the deadline day for entries (13 August) arrives.

Aiming to celebrating effective social media campaigns and strategies, with 31 categories covering different channels, sectors and teams, the Social Buzz Awards highlight the best in the business.

To judge the amazing work, an amazing panel of judges is required, with Andrew Grill, global partner of social business at IBM, being the final judge added to the 25-strong panel.

While some of the judges - including Tim Lion, European head of social media at Sony; Shira Feuer, head of social media EMEA at The Walt Disney Company; Rebecca Watts, head of social media at Financial Times; Paul Fabretti, digital and social media lead at Telefónica Europe; Nick Dutch, head of digital at Domino's Pizza Group and Merinda Peppard, EMEA marketing director at HootSuite – have already been interviewed about being a judge, there are a whole raft of other names set to ponder the entries.

In terms of agencies, judges include: Abby Guthkelch, head of digital at Ketchum; Allan Blair, head of strategy at Tribal Worldwide, London; Amy Kean, Head of Futures at Havas Media UK; Christian Purser, chief digital officer at M&C Saatchi Group; James Whatley, social media director at Ogilvy & Mather; Jerry Daykin, global digital director for Mondelez at Carat/Dentsu Aegis Network; Jim Dowling, managing director at Cake London; Nadya Powell, managing director at MRY (part of the DigitasLBi family); Robin Grant, global managing director at We Are Social; Ron Peterson, general manager at AKQA; and Steve Cater, head of digital at whynot!.

The judges from brands are: Alistair Reid, global content manager at FIFA (EA); Chris Hamilton, head of social media at BBC News; David Parkinson, general manager of digital at Nissan in Europe; Dom Burch, senior director of marketing innovation and new revenue at Asda (Walmart UK); Emma Hopkinson, social media manager at Net-A-Porter; James Cuff, head of content and social media at Confused.com; and Javier Burón, CEO & co-founder at SocialBro.
