In celebration of the BBC show ‘Who Do You Think You Are’ reaching its 10th anniversary DC Thomson-owned site Findmypast has collaborated with digital design agency Wilson Fletcher to create an interactive experience enabling users to build their own family timeline.

Launched to coincide with the new series of the show, Wilson Fletcher created the platform in-house, from design to both front and back-end development.

The site takes users on a journey exploring their family history, while simultaneously informing them of historical events and issues that would have impacted their family members.

“We wanted to create a compelling experience for everyone regardless of their knowledge or interest in genealogy,” said Wilson Fletcher project manager, Ashka Komorowska-Jalal.

Inspired by the show the site creates a story about on family’s journey through time, with users able to customise and share the historical timeline with friends and family.
