Danny Wallace is joining Absolute Radio to co-host new show, ‘Masters of Man Time,’ in the broadcaster’s second ‘Just for Men’ ad-funded programme.

The deal, which follows, the Just for Men-backed comedy panel show, ‘the Manuscript’, will see Wallace reunited with co-presenter Pete Donaldson every Thursday from 8pm.

The one-hour slot will see Wallace and Donaldson guide men through the modern world - in a tone similar to the Shortlist magazine column ‘Danny Wallace is a Man’.

Absolute Radio, which at the turn of the year was acquired by Bauer Media, will launch the show on 14 August. During its 13-week run, the team will discuss the latest news in movies, gadgets, gaming, music and sport.

Furthermore, ‘man-advice’ and review sections will also be targeted towards the intended audience of 25-44 males.

Wallace said: “It's going to be enormous fun joining the Absolute Radio team for a run of shows with top DJ Pete Donaldson. I have known him for years, and look forward to finally educating him in the ways of manhood.

“Whether it's music, film, games, crosswords, or what he should have for his tea - no corner of the modern British man will remain unexplored, which sounds like something you might say in court. I'm excited to get started."

Charlie Oates, UK brand manager of Combe International's Just For Men, said: “Absolute Radio’s innovative branded content, talent and natural editorial flair is second to none and we’re really excited to hear Danny Wallace and Pete Donaldson back our Masters of Man Time campaign.”

She added: “It promises to be a brilliant show.”

Wallace will add to Absolute Radio’s roster of talent including Christian O’Connell, Frank Skinner, Alun Cochrane, Geoff Lloyd, Ian Stone and Rob Beckett.

This comes after the broadcaster earlier this summer hired Paul Brown as digital development director.
