UKTV has created a tweet-powered theatre that allows the audience to choose scenes inspired by the work of the police and ambulance service ahead of its Emergency Services season on Really.

The ‘Emergency Theatre’, which takes place today at London’s Southbank Observation Point, uses actors to bring to life different scenaries, such as a woman giving birth, as voted for on Twitter using the #EmergencyTheatre hashtag.

Emma Boston, general manager of Really, commented: “We want to champion the everyday heroes who work in the emergency services, and provide compelling and honest entertainment for viewers. The Emergency Theatre gives viewers a glimpse into the emotional rollercoaster they will experience through the many great shows and incredible real-life scenes available as part of Really’s Emergency Services season. ”

The Emergency Services season on Really launches tomorrow (5 August) at 10am and finishes on 17 August, and will include shows such as One Born Every Minute, Helicopter Heroes and Traffic Cops.
