Mason Zimbler boss James Trezona is to leave the agency, with Susie McFarland promoted to head up the Harte Hanks owned company.

McFarland has been promoted to agency head at the Bristol-headquartered marketing technology agency, having previously held the roles of client services director and commercial director.

According to the agency, the new role will see her made chiefly responsible for growing client relationships through strategy, creativity and project delivery.

“Many agencies talk about delivering business benefits for clients, but at Mason Zimbler we hold ourselves fully accountable for the commercial impact of our work,” stated McFarland. “This requires a deeply-rooted partnership approach enabling us to provide strategic guidance as well as good creative ideas. Today, marketing has multiple highly-demanding stakeholders. Client and agency teams need to collaborate to deliver effective work and provide evidence of that effectiveness.”

Trezona, who joined Mason Zimbler in 2005, before being promoted to managing director a year later, has yet to announce his next steps.
