DigitasLBi has appointed Harry Pugsley, planning partner at McCann London, to the role of creative strategy director.

Having previously been responsible for brand and communications planning and digital strategy for clients such as L’Oreal Paris, General Mills and Johnson & Johnson, Pugsley’s new role will see him lead creative strategy for some of the agency’s key clients.

Of the appointment, he said: “I've always heard good things about DigitasLBi; innovative work, smart people and a unique culture. Over my career I’ve worked at a variety of creative, digital and media agencies, but DigitasLBi is perhaps the first agency I’ve seen with the diverse blend of skills needed to truly transform clients’ businesses. I’m really thrilled to be joining this multidisciplinary team.”

Set to be based in DigitasLBi’s London office, Pugsley will report into Ed Beard, head of creative strategy.

Beard said: “Harry’s passion for innovation and his desire to work collaboratively make him a perfect fit for DigitasLBi. He also has an impressive and diverse background, with experience ranging from advertising to media and digital agencies. It's going to be really exciting seeing how the unique perspective he brings helps guide the solutions we create for our clients."
