The Chipotle Mexican Grill is giving away 14,000 free burritos across its six London branches this August to visitors of a hidden 24-hour website which will be revealed through the fast food chain’s social media channels.

The Chipotle menu has over 60,000 food variations

Two thousand burritos will be given away each day for a week, starting August 5, to those who provide their email address on the 24-hour website. Clues will appear daily on Chipotle’s Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts.

Participants can also follow ‘#BurritoWatch’ for more information and to find the daily 24-hour websites.

The website URLs will be presented in a ‘speed reading’ format, where website address clues will flash up momentarily, making the hunt for the sites an interactive experience.

Jacob Sumner, managing director for Chipotle UK, said: “We are committed to changing the way people think about and eat fast food, and we like to have a bit of fun along the way: we’re treating Londoners to 14,000 tasty foil-wrapped burritos.”

This campaign comes after Chipotle’s ‘Scarecrow’ video ads and game app won a Cannes Lions Grand Prix last month.
