Topshop strikes deal with Asos rival Zalando

Topshop has inked a deal with Zalando that will see it and sister brand Topman sold on the site in selected European countries.

Zalando is a global e-commerce platform selling brands like Clarks, River Island Convers and Ted Baker. From September 2014, Topshop and Topman products, including clothing, shoes, and accessories will also be available.

David Schneider, member of Zalando’s management board, said the move will help establish Zalando’s credentials as “leading online fashion destination providing the right styles for our fashion-conscious customers in Europe.”

To kick off the launch in selected European countries, Zalando has collaborated with 12 international bloggers from different European cities to to showcase the different trends around Topshop and Topman’s AW14/15 collections.

The deal was announced as Topshop revealed celebrity model Cara Delevingne as the latest face of the brand.
