Curry, beans on toast and hotdog among the finalists in Walkers do us a flavour competition

The six finalists for the Walkers ‘do us a flavour’ competition have been revealed, with all of the flavours set to be sold in shops until October.

Cheesy Beans on Toast, Chip Shop Chicken Curry, Hotdog with Tomato Ketchup, Pulled Pork in a Sticky BBQ Sauce, Ranch Raccoon and Sizzling Steak Fajita are the six flavours which will be put to a public vote, with the creator of the winning flavour to receive £1m.

Each flavour was chosen by a judging panel of experts including chief judges David Walliams and Marco Pierre White, following over 1.2 million entries into the competition.

Marco Pierre White commented: “I was astounded at some of the flavours we saw. The thought that has gone into the suggestions really fascinated me and to watch the British public get so excited about creating flavour profiles was great to see.

“David and I agreed that the six final flavours offer something to tempt everyone – from home comfort Cheesy Beans on Toast to American favourite Hotdog with Tomato Ketchup. I can’t wait to see which one the public choose as its winner!”
