Bon Bon Buddies hands digital account to Maynard Malone

Bon Bon Buddies has appointed Maynard Malone to handle its Brain Blasterz’ digital strategy account, beginning with a social media campaign for summer.

The Europe wide campaign will look to encourage trial of the products and create a buzz around the brand.

Jo Lloyd, Brain Blasterz’ commercial marketing and brand manager UK, Europe abd Middle East, said: “We selected Maynard Malone because of their strong experience in delivering strategic FMCG digital campaigns that have big impacts on sales and brand loyalty. We’re looking forward to working with the team to achieve a strong creative campaign backed up by technical excellence.”

The campaign will encourage social media users to share a photo or video of them with a “sour” face, using the tag #sourfaceselfie.

Ameet Chandarana, managing director of Maynard Malone, added: “Digital offers a great way to jump on trends and engage with audiences quickly, and sharing #SourFaceSelfie tagged selfie videos and photography using the Instagram and Twitter platforms will help us take the Brain Blasterz message far and wide. Combining experiential activity with digital continues to deliver value into brands and build long term relationships with consumers.”

The experiential element of the campaign has been handled by SGA Productions.
