Samsung, Mercedes and Proctor & Gamble are among some of the brands set to star in a specially themed ad break on Sky 1 HD tonight to celebrate the series finale of 24: Live Another Day.

The break, which will be broadcast at 9.10pm during the final episode of the series, is made up exclusively of advertising specially created to mirror the 24 split screen, which has been licenced from Fox Consumer Products.

John Litster, managing director at Sky Media said: "The finale of 24: Live Another Day has given us a fantastic opportunity to create a bespoke, creative and exciting ad break for Sky customers. Taking our inspiration from the series, we wanted to give Sky 1 HD viewers the opportunity to enjoy adverts for familiar, household-name brands in a distinctive 24 style. We look forward to seeing the reaction from fans of the show.”

The ads will run as the clock from 24 ticks down during the three minute break, which also features a 24-style promo of Sky 1 HD’s show A League of their Own.

The ad break follows Sky Media’s creation of bespoke ad breaks to celebrate the launch of the fifth season of Mad Men on Sky Atlantic in 2012, which featured classic ads from the 1960s in keeping with the theme of the show.
