House of Fraser has appointed former ASOS search executive Jamie Peach to the newly created role of head of organic search (SEO) of the UK and Ireland.

Peach’s responsibilities will include leading a team of six in-house SEO employees and third-party agency partners, while overseeing the expansion of the current SEO programme.

House of Fraser director of online trading Martin Francis said: “We’re delighted to welcome Jamie to the team at House of Fraser as we focus on growing our share of voice in search. He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the role, which will be invaluable in driving development and innovation to create a best in class SEO programme.”

Peach was previously senior SEO manager at online fashion retailer ASOS, where he spearheaded the SEO programme. Prior to that he was SEO director at digital performance agency Resolution Media.

He will take up his new role in early September.
