Alex Mecklenburg has left Huge London after spending the past year leading the agency as managing director.

“I am moving on from Huge after a fabulous and intense year of helping to build the agency into what it is today. It has been great and I’ve met tons of pretty amazing creative people,” she told The Drum.

“I am focusing over the summer to get my 1690 thatched country pile into some sort of shape before thinking about what will be the next adventure out there for me.”

At Huge, Mecklenburg oversaw successful pitches for digital work with the likes of Moneysupermarket and the One & Only Group.

Prior to joining the agency spent 17 years at OgilvyOne, firstly as an account executive, then business director before becoming global brand director in 2006.

Mecklenburg has been replaced by Nathan Weyer, former VP and general manager for Frog. As managing director, Europe, Weyer will work alongside Huge president and COO Shirley Au who continues to oversee the company’s global operations from London.
