Tony Ruhanen to head TBWA Worldwide

Omnicom Group has named Tony Ruhanen as the successor to Tom Carroll in the role of president and CEO of TBWA Worldwide, with Carroll remaining as chairman.

Previously responsible for driving cross-agency collaboration for Omnicom’s clients Ruhanen has held several senior management positions within the group; including Chairman and CEO, the Americas, BBDO Worldwide.

“At Omnicom, we place considerable emphasis on succession planning, and Tom and I have long agreed that Troy Ruhanen would be the right person to take the helm of TBWA.
