Havas Media poaches Publicis COO Darren Todhunter and Publicis CMO Patrick Hanson-Lowe departs for Value Retail

Havas Media UK has poached Publicis Chemistry chief operating officer Darren Todhunter, while Publicis UK’s chief marketing officer Patrick Hanson-Lowe has left the agency to head up brand and communications at Value Retail.

Todhunter has been hired as commercial director for the UK at Havas Media. During his tenure at Publicis he has a variety of roles including chief operating officer and prior to that financial director.

Before he joined Publicis in 2010 he as finance director at 20th Century Fox Film.

Meanwhile Hanson-Lowe was elected to chair the International Agencies’ council of the Brussels-based European Association of Communication Agencies (EACA) earlier this year. He is thought to have been on gardening leave for several months.

He became CMO of Publicis UK more than a decade ago, when Notorious merged with Publicis Chemistry, which was formed from Dialog and Chemistry Communications.

There are no current plans to replace either roles.
