Anthony Smith co-founder and creative partner at Music has confirmed he has left the Manchester-based design agency and is planning to establish a new company later in the year.

Speaking with The Drum, Smith revealed that he had left the business earlier this year and was “enjoying some freedom away from the day to day” after seven years with the agency.

He added: “Building Music has been a tremendous experience; I've left some good friends. It's been a massive learning curve and now I'm really excited about putting all that learning into the next thing. I’ll continue to work with businesses in the North West and in London.”

Of his next venture Smith said he was “taking some time out to consider the options” but does have plans for a new company.

At Music Smith worked on rebrands for the likes of Chester Zoo, the National Football Museum and the British Fashion Council to name a few.
