Everton unveils new club crest
Everton Football Club has begun the roll out of their new club crest for the 2014/15 season after inviting fans to choose the winning design.
Evertonians will begin to see the new design sprout around the stadium this week as the Club makes the changeover to the winning badge.
One of three options presented to supporters in a public vote last October the image received overwhelming backing with over 78 per cent backing the runaway favourite.
This culminated an extensive consultation phase in which 20,000 supporters provided their own input as to what they wanted to see in the new designs.
Everton describe the revamped crest as respecting the Club’s heritage by drawing together elements from the team’s past – notably the Tower, Nil Satis Nisi Optimum and the Shield which have all been rendered in the Club colours.
