Amscreen is set to screen crowdsourced content from the Tour de France across its digital network as part of a deal struck with navigation brand Garmin.

Although not official partners, Amscreen and Garmin are looking to capitalise on the buzz with a campaign has been activated on the 392 screens along the route calling for people to tweet their pictures of the race to @GarminUK.

Localised content will then be shown in real-time as the race progresses.

“We are excited about such a huge cycling event coming to the UK and want to get the nation behind the riders at every step of the way,” said Gail Cook, marketing communications manager at Garmin.

"By screening our campaign across the Amscreen network we are able to effectively speak to our target audience at the exact time cycling momentum is at an all-time high.”

The activity scheduled to kick off in Yorkshire this weekend, 5 July, to mark the start of the race.
