A Double Robot, has been confirmed as a delegate at The Drum Live. The technology, made by US firm Double Robotics, will allow a representative of the Ukranian tech industry to attend the conference without having to leave their country.

The operator in the Ukraine, will be able to use the robot to move freely around the conference, and interact with other delegates as well as giving a presentation explaining why the world should continue to support the Ukraine tech scene, despite the current poltical upheaval. The technology will also give insights into working conditions in the region.

Gordon Young, editor of The Drum, said: “We will be able to demonstrate how technology such as this will be able to transport people to places they cannot normally get into, and allow them to physically interact with that environment.”

The device appears to combine iPad and Segway technology, and will move freely around the conference, chatting and networking just like any other delegate.

A second double robot will be in play throughout the day, touring London in a live experiment to test the honesty of Londoners, with the results to be fed back to The Drum Live audience.

The theme of the day for The Drum Live is ‘What can be achieved in a day?’ – after all The Drum team is putting together a magazine in a day in front of a 250 strong audience.

Other brands demonstrating what can be done in a day include Unilever, Weve, She Says, Barclays, and Buzzfeed. For more information on The Drum Live visit the visit the dedicated website.
