Andrew Morley has been named CEO of Clear Channel UK, replacing Matthew Dearden who has been named CEO of organisation's European operations.

Following a seven year stint at the company, Morley resigned as Motorola's vice-president and general manager in the UK and Ireland in April saying at the time he was "looking to pursue other opportunities in mobile" rather than as a result of the company's sale to Lenovo.

Prior to his time at Motorola he held roles at the Harrods Group, BSkyB and Ford.

“Clear Channel UK is a great company, with an open culture and very talented team, and I am looking forward to working as part of it,” said Morley of his appointment. “I truly believe the business is on the cusp of a revolution. There are few industries that are going through as exciting a change as the OOH medium, which is driven by the convergence of outdoor, digital and mobile. I feel that it is an incredible opportunity for me.”

Meanwhile, Dearden will continue to be based in London as he oversees the European side of Clear Channel.

"There are three key areas that I want to focus on. Firstly, harnessing powerful understanding of our advertisers, partners and markets. Secondly, designing and executing effective strategies using this insight. Finally, and most importantly, I will be working with leaders across Europe to make these intentions a reality that drive our business forward,” he said.

Both appointments are effective immediately.
