Google’s invites fresh bids for £600m Kings Cross HQ
Google is inviting contractors to submit revised tenders for its planned £600m Kings Cross HQ.
Bidders have until January 2015 to compete for the job, which succeeds a £300m commission awarded last March.
Since then Google has gone back to square one in its vision for the site, choosing to seek a far more ambitious design for its British base.
Google is currently working with architects Allford Hall Monaghan Morris on a redesigned scheme and is said to be investigating the possibility of seeking a different plot within the Kings Cross regeneration area.
Work was originally due to begin this year but may not now get underway until 2016 as a result of the delays.
