WPP's Millward Brown acquires EffectiveBrands

WPP's Millward Brown has acquired marketing strategy company EffectiveBrands and will combine the company with its strategy consulting division, Millward Brown Optimor.

The deal will mean the creation of Millward Brown Vermeer, which will work with chief marketing officers to help answer questions around their brands and drive growth.

The company works with brands such as Pernod Ricard, Virgin, Barclays, Unilever and PeosiCo amoung its client base, with offices in Amsterdam, London, New York, Sngapore and Tokyo.

EffectiveBrands was founded in 2001 by Marc de Swaan Arons and Frank van den Driest, and reported unaudited revenue for its last year end of around €14.1m.
